Privacy Policy

Before publishing: replace the operator name, contact address and governing jurisdiction below with your real details. This document describes what the app actually does, but it is not legal advice and should be reviewed before you rely on it for App Store submission.

Iamge turns a photo you choose into a new AI-generated image, and lets you share those images, comment, and message other people. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who else sees it.

Who we are

Iamge is operated by [OPERATOR NAME]. For any privacy question or request, contact [CONTACT EMAIL].

Your account

You don't give us an email address or password. On first launch the app asks our server for an anonymous account and stores a token in the iOS Keychain. We hold a random account id, the username you choose, an optional bio, and an optional profile photo you pick from images you have generated.

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, or location.

Your photos

The photo you pick is uploaded, used to produce your image, and then discarded. It is not stored on our servers and never shown to anyone else.

Location data (EXIF) is stripped from every image before it is saved, so GPS coordinates from your camera are never published or retained.

The generated images are stored, so they appear in your profile and, if you choose to share one, in Explore.

Moderation access

Our moderators can view accounts, images, community posts and direct messages in order to investigate reports and enforce our rules. Direct messages in Iamge are not end-to-end encrypted. Please don't send anything you would not want a moderator to be able to read. Every moderator access to messages is logged.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand how the app is used — which screens people open, how often images are created and shared, and whether things fail. This tells us what to fix and what to build next.

Firebase assigns your installation a random app instance ID and records device information (model, operating system version, language, country) along with the events below. The app instance ID is not your name, email or device serial number, and it is reset if you delete and reinstall the app.

EventWhat it records
Screen openedWhich screen, nothing about its contents
Image createdWhether it succeeded, how long it took, and the id of the library prompt if one was used
Image sharedThat a share happened
Prompt usedThe id of the prompt from our library
Credits screen shownThat it was shown
Ad started / rewardedWhether an advert was watched and earned a credit
Purchase started / completedThat a purchase happened, and how many credits

What analytics never receives: the photo you upload, the images you generate, the text of prompts you write, your username, your bio, or the contents of any message or comment. Events carry counts and outcomes only.

Analytics data is processed by Google. See Firebase privacy and security and how Google uses data from apps that use its services. Google Analytics for Firebase may share data with Google AdMob to measure advert performance.

Advertising

You can earn a free image by choosing to watch a rewarded advert. Adverts are supplied by Google AdMob, which may collect a device advertising identifier and similar data to serve and measure adverts. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services.

Adverts are always optional — you can buy credits instead and never watch one. Where required, we show Google's consent form before requesting any advert, and you can change your choice at any time from Profile → Privacy options. On iOS we also ask separately for permission to track before any advertising identifier is used.

Purchases

Credit packs are sold through Apple's In-App Purchase. Apple processes the payment; we never see your card details. We receive a signed receipt from Apple to confirm the purchase and record the transaction id so it cannot be redeemed twice.

Others who process data for us

We do not sell your personal data.

Deleting your account

Open Profile → ⋯ → Delete account. This removes your images from our servers, takes down your posts, and deletes your messages, likes and follows. It cannot be undone.

Children

Iamge is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your data, and to object to certain processing. Most of this is available in the app directly; for anything else, contact us at [CONTACT EMAIL].

Changes

If we change this policy materially we will update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you in the app.

Governing law
